Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Packaging Equipment Technician to support our semi-automated and automated bottling and stick-pack flex film packaging operations within a GMP environment. This role involves servicing and maintaining electromechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve common electrical and mechanical issues on semi-automatic controlled packaging equipment and lines.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure consistent operation.
  • Mechanical Systems Knowledge: Understand the operation and maintenance of mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Reading Schematics: Interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams to facilitate effective equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Electrical Skills: Diagnose and repair electrical problems on packaging lines, including motor control circuits and safety circuits. Understand basic PLC logic and controls and work safely with electrical systems up to 480V.
  • CMMS Proficiency: Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to track work orders, manage inventory, and maintain equipment records.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the packaging process meets established quality standards and specifications.
  • Communication Skills: Collaborate effectively with technicians, operators, and supervisors to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply logical thinking and problem-solving techniques to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
  • Safety Consciousness: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Adaptability: Adjust to changing production schedules, new equipment, and evolving technologies.
Physical Requirements:  
The Electromechanical Packaging Equipment Technician will be required to walk for up to 8 hours each day as part of the role. Candidates should be physically capable of performing the duties associated with this position, which may include standing, walking, bending, and lifting as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in servicing and maintaining electromechanical packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and quality control processes.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with GMP standards.
  • Physical ability to walk for extended periods and perform manual tasks as required.
